Dissecting a Pig's Heart

On November 4th we were given the task of dissecting a pigs heart, Why are we dissecting a pigs heart? Most mammals have similar hearts to humans and have the same function as well. Human hearts are made up of 4 chambers each including different parts The four chambers of the heart are attached to major veins or arteries that either bring blood into or carry blood away from the heart. We cut the heart open to look at the parts inside. Overall it was pretty smelly, but still fun. Thanks for reading
